Wayne Elsey, the Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls™ Inc., the international shoe charity that gives shoes away to needy people, will visit the Shoe Carnival location in Evansville, Indiana, to encourage customers to take advantage of their partnership and help those affected in the United States by the hurricanes. The Shoe Carnival is located in The Eastland Place Mall at 805 North Green River Road, Evansville, IN., 47715.
The program began on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at all 300 Shoe Carnival store locations, and will end on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. For a small donation of $2.00, someone without shoes will receive a gift of shoes. In addition, those who donate new or gently worn shoes will receive a $5.00 Shoe Carnival coupon. “Our partnership with Shoe Carnival is very valuable to our mission, and this program will help us provide new shoes for those affected by Hurricane Gustav,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “We hope that the other tropical storms currently lining up in the Gulf of Mexico do not intensify, but we
will be there for anyone in need.”
“Shoe Carnival is honored to support Soles4Souls through this exclusive fundraising program,” said Todd Beurman, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Shoe Carnival. “The funds raised in our stores will make a meaningful impact in the lives of people in need right here in the United States so we urge everyone to come in to one of our 300 locations and make at least a $2.00 donation for this
charity's valuable mission.”
Elsey said that the shoe charity is coordinating the efforts and will again partner with shoe companies, relief organizations and government agencies to ensure the delivery process remains smooth and people who need the shoes receive them.
